Letter from Dr. Wine and Important Dates

February 25, 2016

Dear Parents and Guardians of this Year’s Class of 2016:

This letter is to begin the bittersweet process of graduation. It is a celebration of accomplishment and a time of some sadness as you realize your sons and daughters are taking a big step to adulthood. Most students manage these next couple of months well and enjoy the added importance of what is happening; some, however, begin to act differently as they worry about their future. Please continue to partner with us; collectively our team at the high school has seen most senior behaviors. Contact us as you have questions or concerns.

Last year, we began a new tradition by moving graduation into the gymnasium. In this way, we do not risk the unpredictability of the weather and the effect that has on the ceremony. To make this event special for each family, we provide ten (10) tickets per graduate. For families with more than ten attendees, we have an overflow with a big screen in the practice gym. As we get closer to the event, we are going to ask how many tickets you need.

As has been mentioned previously, graduation is Friday night this year to allow people the weekend to spend with their families. This year, graduation is Friday, May 20 at 6:00 PM.

Please order your cap, gown and tassel through Jostens if you have not already. There are a limited number of these items for loan. Please see Mr. Gunnare for further information. Expect following information concerning Next Step Plans, state testing, and other graduation requirements.

Below, you will find a list of important dates for seniors. Please keep it to help you plan for the reminder of the year.

This is an exciting time. Enjoy every bit of it because it will be over before you know it.
